This picture was drawn by my son! He is so talented! I like it because it is how I want to tackle my clutter this week lol So I joined up with the FLY Lady and have been loving all the really great advice she gives! Here is a short list that I took pieces of from her e-mail that she sent me. I thought that I would share here a little of what I think is great advice! you can check out her Fly Lady site here Dear Friends, Clutter has a way of taking over our lives. Clutter becomes that unwanted house guest that you can't get rid of. It robs us of peace while we are home and it also steals any bit of joy when we leave home; the dread of returning to that mess. What about those of you that will not even go anywhere because of the chaotic state of your home. 1. Clutter filled homes, are not welcoming to friends or family.
2. Clutter in your home, does not allow your mind and body to rest.
3. Clutter tells the world that you are not worthy.
This is what the seeds of today look like. I purchased these this month. now they come in a mylar pack inside these boxes. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised with was the amount of seeds in each pack. It is completely full of seeds, not like the ones that you get at the store where you have to use a magnifying glass just to see the seeds in the store bought packs. I do not know if the other seeds are heirloom seeds or not. Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.9
Here is a collection of seeds that my grandmother purchased in 1975-6 for our food storage. I know that they are most likely no good but I cannot seem to make myself through them away. I belong to a group that is dedicated to food and emergency preparedness and when I told them of my find I asked if they thought that they were any good. I told them that my parents stored them in the garage in the winter and the summer so they said absolutely not any good. But I am holding on to them any way. I am going to attempt to plant them some time in the future but not today. I love these cans with the cute little bee on them. I think of my grandmother when I look at them and remember all of her hard work at getting our family self sufficient and the lessons she taught me and with her wins and not so good turn outs. Look at this old box that I found. It was pretty much destroyed so I took a picture of it before I threw it away. I found a receipt inside that said 1976 and thinking upon it now I should have taken a picture of it also but alas it went the same way as the box.
Here is another box that had sprouting seeds inside, I am going to take pictures of them next and post them
My sweet baby's, This was taken some where in San Fransisco I think around 1994. They had come with my parents to pick me up from the air port and so they made a day of it visiting a lot of different places. I have a really great father, as a child he would always take me and my siblings around places doing different things to keep us entertained. I love my dad!
Okay so I was reading a email that was sent to my by the Fly lady about spices and I was amazed that the shelf life of spices is not very long. I do not use all my spices before they expire! So she said that if you still have a metal container from "McCormick then throw it out! She said that they stopped making them in these containers fifteen years ago!! I had a really good laugh on that one! I had one in my cupboard! But the good thing is that she said that there was a exception to the rule here and that was for black pepper. PHEW, lol oh well the rest are going in the trash and I need to go and purchase all new spices darn it~ Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.8

I remember the last mothers day I had with my baby girl she and my boys gave me a really sweet angel heart with Mandy's birth stone in it. In this month I have Mothers day, my birthday and the event of getting through the first year after loosing my daughter. It is quite a lot to deal with. On one hand I have a beautiful son and son in law to spend mothers day with and on the other I am not getting to be with my baby girl. My husband is my rock and he helps me with all of it, listening and helping I would be lost without him. He to is going through this with me and it is tuff!
Here is the Hot Box or Wonder Oven that I made, it was really easy to make Here I am sewing the oven together Here is the finished bottom unstuffed Here is the top un-stuffed bottom stuffed Top stuffed you can see that it is not to full so that there is room for the pan The pan fits quite well inside Here is my oven outside of the box
My finished box This one belongs to my girlfriend Here she is putting it into the box you can see it is a perfect fit I have made many things in my wonder oven and it works great, I had a girlfriend take ice cream to her sons soccer game and the ice cream stayed completely frozen until they served it and the game usually lasts for at least a couple of hours. I have made soup in the morning and served it after 1:30 pm and it was still steaming hot well after four hours. My mother adapted this pattern and made a wonder box for her plastic 24 oz. watter bottle and they keep their water ice cold on the days that they do running around that takes hours. She even made…
